This facsimile etching was not released as a stand-alone facsimile etching but included with the De Luxe Limited Edition of the book The Complete Etchings of Norman Lindsay.

The last copies of the edition of The Complete Etchings of Norman Lindsay (both standard and de luxe editions) were destroyed in a flood at the gallery warehouse in 2012 and the last twenty-six copies of The Artist were released separately and without the book in 2013. The de luxe edition of The Complete Etchings of Norman Lindsay was not an edition of 550 as originally published, but 524.
