Colleen attended private art lessons in Sydney before completing the Art Foundation course at TAFE in 1991. She has loved art and has painted ever since, attending many workshops to extend her skills and vision. Colleen's paintings are rich in colour and vibrancy and are an emotional response to line, shape and colour. As well as continuing her own artistic journey, she actively encourages others to enjoy the process of looking, drawing and painting. Colleen works in oils but her preference is in acrylic inks because of their ability to flow and blend as well as having a jewel-like quality.
Landscapes are a particular passion for Colleen as she finds inspiration from her surroundings. She lives in the southern region of New South Wales where there is a never-ending array of beauty and life all around her. Colleen enjoys challenging herself in the artistic arena and has undertaken works in still life and portraiture. More recently she has studied the art of floral painting under Jacqueline Coates who is one of Australia's foremost floral artists.
