PETER BOUSFIELD

Australian artist Peter Bousfield was a member of the Australian Watercolour Institute and the Royal Art Society of NSW. He travelled around the world from around 1906 starting in China and Japan and travelled through Asia, Europe, Africa and the United States, coming to Australia in 1937 and new Zealand in 1938. He had a number of exhibitions of his watercolours in Sydney during his time in Australia. These delightful "en plein air" sketches of the places he visited are a glimpse of the world in the early part of last century.
