The Major Mitchell Cockatoo (Cacatua leadbeateri) is one of the most beautiful birds found in Australia. When these salmon pink and white parrots raise their crests, the flash of red and yellow is striking. Usually found in pairs or small family groups, they inhabit the drier parts of New South Wales and southern Queensland.
